Move for Mental Health: A Fundraiser Supporting Counseling Access
We’re excited to announce that Move for Mental Health is back!
This high-energy community event brings people together to move their bodies, build community, and raise funds to support mental health care in Teton Valley.
On April 11, teams of four will gather at Targhee Athletics to compete in a fun fitness challenge that includes rowing, biking, and bodyweight movements. Teams work together to accumulate points while cheering each other on and raising funds for a shared goal.
We limit the event to 16 teams, which helps keep the event interactive, supportive, and full of energy.
But the real impact of Move for Mental Health goes far beyond the workout.
All funds raised support the Coalition’s Community Counseling Fund, which helps remove barriers to care by providing:
• six free counseling sessions with a local therapist
• case management to help people navigate resources
• crisis and suicide prevention support when someone needs immediate help
So far this year, we’ve already approved 118 counseling sessions through this fund, highlighting just how important this support is for our community.
Move for Mental Health is also a chance for the community to come together in a fun and supportive way. Teams will compete for three awards:
🏆 Fitness Challenge Winner
💛 Top Fundraising Team
🎉 Spirit Award
Winning teams receive great prizes from local businesses, and the Spirit Award celebrates the team that brings the most creativity and fun to the event. The winning Spirit Team will also be featured on next year’s Move for Mental Health promotional materials.
Whether you’re coming to compete, cheer on a team, or support the fundraising effort, every contribution helps expand access to mental health care in our valley.
Move for Mental Health is one of several community events hosted by the Coalition to increase awareness, connection, and access to mental health care in our rural community. Events like this help ensure that people in Teton Valley can access counseling and support when they need it most.
If you’d like to participate, grab three friends and build a team.
