Press Release: Coalition Among 10 Organizations to Receive Select Health Award
[DRIGGS, Idaho, June 18th, 2024]—On Tuesday, June 18th, the Mental Health Coalition welcomed Amy Stahl, Select Health’s Regional Marketing Director for Idaho, to their office.
Stahl visited the organization to present them with a $5,000 Select Health Award, a grant program recognizing organizations dedicated to enhancing health and well-being within their communities.
Out of 187 applicants, the Coalition was one of ten Idaho organizations selected for this grant.
Stahl commented, “We were impressed with the quality of the grant application you submitted and the work you’re doing. Your mission is very compelling.”
Launched in 2008, the Select Health Awards program has contributed over $1 million to support community organizations, underscoring its long-standing commitment to community well-being. These awards highlight the impactful work of organizations dedicated to building strong communities and assisting those in need.
The Coalition is the first organization in Teton Valley to receive this grant. They plan to use the funds to purchase supplemental educational materials for their upcoming Monthly Educational Series launching this Fall.
“As a small community-based organization, grants like these make a huge difference in how we’re able to serve our community. We are excited about being able to have more materials to get out to those who need them,” said Sara White, Director of the Coalition.
The Coalition will not be eligible to reapply for the funds next year. Other Teton Valley organizations supporting community health initiatives are encouraged to apply. Applications for the 2025 Select Health Awards will be available in January 2025 at selecthealthawards.org.
